The Education, Training and Human Development Faculty develops capable practitioners who support learning, skills development and human capacity growth within organisations and communities. Our programmes focus on strengthening training delivery, assessment practice and skills development coordination to ensure effective, quality-driven learning in workplace and education environments.

Occupational Skills Programme: Assessment Practitioner

Entry Requirements (NQF):
• Communication at NQF Level 4
• Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4
• Prior industry or training exposure recommended

Programme Overview:
This programme prepares learners to conduct fair, valid and reliable assessments in line with QCTO standards. Learners gain competence in planning assessments, conducting them effectively and providing constructive feedback. The programme is suited for individuals who want to become assessors across various occupational qualifications and skills programmes.

• Experience in training, HR or workplace learning is advantageous

Programme Overview:
This programme develops learners to coordinate skills development activities within organisations. It covers workplace skills planning, training coordination, stakeholder engagement and compliance with SETA and QCTO requirements. Graduates are able to support HRD functions, facilitate workplace learning and contribute to organisational development.

What learners will gain:
• Skills in developing and maintaining Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs)
• Knowledge of SETA processes, reporting and compliance
• Ability to coordinate learning interventions and workplace training
• Understanding of skills audits, training needs analysis and learner support
